VIBSKOV ON FUTURE TENSE

Future Tense on SHOWstudio

Don´t miss the project Future Tense on SHOWstudio at the moment. 2 films per day is posted by contributors.

If you missed it.. It´s amazing.
" If the best way to predict the future is to invent it, the next best is to give it a helping hand. With this idea in mind, SHOWstudio launches the ‘Future Tense,’ film season, offering a global platform for an exciting new generation of fashion design to use the medium of moving image to express their creativity."

SAVE POLAROID - DAZED PROJECT

In February, Polaroid announced that they would be discontinuing the production of their iconic film and since then, a wave of active campaigns have sprung up online to fight against this decision. Most notably, Savepolaroid.com which was set up immediately after the announcement, set the ball rolling for submissions from all around the world, inviting people to upload onto Flickr their Polaroids along with a little story that tells people about what that image means to them and how they feel about Polaroids in general.

Savepolaroid.com now has over 4,000 members in their Flickr group and one of the founders Tod Brilliant has given a selection of his favourite submisisons thus far.
Rhiannon Adam, an avid Polaroid fan with over 200 Polaroid cameras also tried to set up a European offshoot of Savepolaroid.com but an overwhelming amount of interest in the site caused it to crash and she is trying to start her campaign back up. She told Dazed Digital her own Polaroid tale that expresses what the medium and its demise means to her.

In the new September issue of Dazed & Confused, they dedicated 24 pages to Polaroid and asked some of the world's leading visual artists to tell their own Polaroid tale.
Dazed Digital now invite everyone to upload their favourite Polaroids along with a sentence or two about their chosen image.

Cartoonist!

I am about to prepar some storyboards, just the basic ideas. And I just realised how expensive all the apps are so i am going back to the basic, hand drawings!! And I really suck on this, cant even draw a single bird flying. Here are my first board...
Can you see what it is??

Shoreditch House yesterday!

My friend works for UVA and did some visuals for the club at Shoereditch house, so we went yesterday.

My first visit, and the view was amazing, the party was actually in and outside of the pool, there was also a dancefloor close to the pool.

Nothing hill carnival

Yesterday we went to Nothing Hill to see the carnival. Wich someone told me is the second largest carnival after the one in Rio. EVERYONE had whistle pipes

Held each August Bank Holiday since 1966, Notting Hill Carnival is the largest celebration of its kind in Europe.

Started as a local festival set up by the West Indian immigrants of the area it has now become a full-blooded Caribbean carnival, attracting millions of visitors from around the world. With scores of massive sound systems, many spectacular floats and, of course, the traditional steel drum bands, plus hundreds of stalls lining the streets this is probably London’s biggest annual event..

I had the worst hangover ever, so i was´nt really prepared for this..

“BATTER MY HEART, THREE-PERSON’D GOD.”—JOHN DONNE*
”I SET OFF TO CREATE A NEW WORLD. LEAVE THIS ONE, FUCK IT, IT’S FUCKING FUCKED.”—LISI RASKIN

Lisi Raskin, a Brooklyn-based artist, was born 1974 in Miami, Florida and received an MFA from Columbia University School of Arts in 2003. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions like Kuenstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, CAC in Vilnius, P.S.1 in New York, and IASPIS in Stockholm.

TOPSIDE is a continuation of Command and Control and Mobile Observation (Transmitting and Receiving) Station, both commissioned by Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in 2008. Command and Control was part of the exhibition High Resolution, at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City and Mobil Observation (Transmitting and Receiving) Station is currently on view at the Hessel Museum at Bard College. *Head scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer based the name Trinity in part on Holy Sonnet XIV by John Donne, a 16th century English poet and sermon writer. The sonnet started, “Batter my heart, three-person’d God.”
